Game Rules
Effective: 9 June 2026
1. Operator
The BizCup prediction contest (the “Contest” or “Game”) is organised and operated by Pro-Sharp Hungary Zrt. (registered seat: 1145 Budapest, Bácskai utca 29/A, Hungary; company reg. no.: 01-10-143757; tax no.: 33095424-2-42; EU VAT no.: HU33095424; e-mail: bizcup@pro-sharp.hu; the “Organiser”) on the bizcup.app platform (the “Platform”).
BizCup is a single, own-branded product. Participating companies (each a “Company”) may launch the Game as their own corporate league for their employees on the Platform; players may also register directly and individually. The Organiser provides and operates the Platform; the internal running of a given company league and any internal reward are the responsibility of that Company (see Sections 6 and 7).
2. Legal nature of the Game
Participation in the Game is entirely free for the player. Neither the Organiser nor the Company requests or accepts any stake, entry fee or other financial contribution from the player in exchange for participation. The outcome depends on the player’s knowledge and predictions.
Accordingly, the Game does not qualify as gambling under Hungarian Act XXXIV of 1991 on the organisation of gambling, and does not fall within the gambling-supervision competence of the Regulatory Affairs Supervisory Authority (SZTFH). The Game is a free promotional, entertainment game governed by generally applicable laws, including the Civil Code, the rules on unfair commercial practices, Act XLVIII of 2008 on commercial advertising, Act CVIII of 2001 on e-commerce services, the GDPR and Act CXII of 2011 on information self-determination.
Participation is not conditional on purchasing any goods or service. Any Platform fee is paid by the Company for the software, not by the player for participation; this fee is not a stake and is not linked to any prize.
3. Eligibility
The Game is intended for persons aged 18 or over; by taking part, the player confirms that they are at least 18. As the Game is not gambling, the Organiser does not request age-verification documents and performs no separate age check.
Login and lanes. Participation is via a workplace (company) e-mail address or corporate SSO (Google Workspace / Microsoft 365) — this links the player to their company’s league and, depending on the company’s setting, to the public company ranking. Participation is also possible with a personal or free e-mail (e.g. gmail.com), but only in the individual game, an open league and the global individual ranking; with such an address a company league is joinable only via an invitation code, as a guest, and it does not appear in the public company ranking.
One company runs one league. Company-related limits (e.g. headcount thresholds) apply at the company level.
Participation is voluntary. The employer may not make participation mandatory, and participation (or its absence) must not affect the employment relationship.
4. Duration and flow
The Contest runs for the 2026 summer international football tournament: 11 June 2026 – 19 July 2026 (a specific league may set a shorter period).
For each match the player may submit or change a prediction (two goal figures for the final score) before kick-off. At kick-off the prediction locks and cannot be changed.
Every prediction feeds three rankings at once — individual, team (department) and company — plus an optional cross-company national ranking.
5. Scoring
Scoring is per match, by mutually exclusive tiers; the best tier achieved applies:
| Result vs. prediction | Points |
|---|---|
| Exact final score | 5 |
| Correct goal difference (non-draw) | 3 |
| Correct outcome (1/X/2) | 2 |
| Incorrect | 0 |
For draws, only the exact draw score earns 5 points; the goal-difference tier does not apply to draws. Scoring is modified by a stage-based multiplier: group-stage matches count ×1, the earlier knockout rounds (and the third-place match) ×2, and the semi-finals and final ×3. The Platform indicates the applicable multiplier before kick-off. Badges, titles and challenges (achievements) award no points and do not affect rankings — they are recognition/gamification elements only.
The team (department) ranking is based on a fair, per-match average: for each finished match we take the average points of the team members who actually predicted that match, and sum those per-match averages over the tournament. A team's result is therefore independent of its size, and members who join the Contest mid-way do not hold the team back — everyone counts only on the matches they actually predicted. The company ranking is based, per league, on the players' average points per head.
Scoring is automatic, based on the official match result. Predictions and scoring are decided on the regular-time result (90 minutes plus stoppage time); any extra time and penalty shoot-out do not count towards scoring. The Platform also makes this clear on the prediction screen.
Points cannot be purchased, transferred or exchanged for cash. Points serve solely for in-Game ranking.
6. Results
Rankings are visible on the Platform in real time. At the end of the Contest the Platform aggregates the final standings at individual, team and company level. Winners are determined objectively from the scores calculated under the scoring rules — there is no draw and no random selection. Ties are broken by prediction accuracy (%), then by the timestamp of earlier predictions.
7. Prizes and the nature of points
The Organiser provides no cash prize for the Game. Points serve solely for in-Game ranking: they cannot be purchased, transferred, exchanged for cash or other value, and cannot be redeemed for any reward. Badges, titles and highlights obtainable on the Platform are purely digital recognition elements with no monetary value.
If a Company rewards its own employees from its own budget, that is an internal matter between the Company and its employees, handled by the Company in its own name, independently of the Platform. The Company alone is responsible as payer for its content, delivery, and any related tax or contribution obligations. The Organiser neither provides, handles nor intermediates such rewards.
8. Unfair play, exclusion
The Organiser (and the league admin) may exclude a player who manipulates the Game or ranking via multiple accounts, automated tools or otherwise; supplies false data or logs in using another person’s data; uses the Platform for purposes prohibited in Section 9; or intentionally disrupts the proper operation of the Game. An excluded player’s points and ranking may be removed; for serious or repeated abuse, the account may be permanently disabled.
9. Prohibited use
The Platform is solely for a free, entertainment prediction contest. It is prohibited to use the Platform, in any form, for betting, collecting stakes, creating a prize pool, transferring money between players, or any competition tied to a stake expressed in money or property value — whether organised on or off the Platform using its results. Such activity may constitute licensable gambling, which the Organiser neither organises nor permits. Such activity may be reported to bizcup@pro-sharp.hu; upon becoming aware, the Organiser acts without delay (suspending or deleting the league or account).
10. Liability, amendment, force majeure
The Organiser provides the Platform “as is”, with due care, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Match data comes from a third-party sports-data provider; in case of obvious data error the Organiser may correct scoring retroactively.
The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Rules unilaterally and to suspend or terminate the Contest where justified by a change of law, an official measure, a technical or a force majeure reason. Material changes are communicated on the Platform.
The Organiser is not liable for indirect damages arising from participation, for network or device faults outside its control, or for the Company’s internal decisions and internal rewards.
11. Data processing
Personal-data processing related to participation is governed by the Privacy Policy, available on the Platform at bizcup.app. Accepting these Rules does not constitute consent to marketing; marketing is based on separate, explicit, freely revocable consent.
12. Publicity, highlighting and media
Rankings and results may appear publicly on the Platform as part of the Game. The Organiser reserves the right to present and promote the Contest’s results, statistics and outstanding individual, team and company performances on the Platform, the Organiser’s website, social media (e.g. LinkedIn), press and other marketing materials. In doing so the Organiser follows data minimisation: typically first name or display name and company, or aggregated data. Participation alone does not constitute consent to use a player’s photograph or detailed identifying data beyond the above for advertising; such highlighting requires the player’s separate, explicit, freely revocable consent. A player may object to their own public highlighting at bizcup@pro-sharp.hu. Detailed processing is governed by the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law, disputes
The Game is governed by Hungarian law. The Organiser and the player will seek to resolve disputes amicably; failing that, the Hungarian courts have jurisdiction. In a consumer dispute the player may also turn to the conciliation board of their place of residence.
14. No FIFA affiliation
BizCup is an independent, unofficial game: it is not affiliated with FIFA or the organisers of the 2026 tournament, and is neither sponsored nor endorsed by them. The Platform uses no official emblems, logos or trademarks; match data (fixtures, results) are public facts. Teams are denoted by national flags and three-letter country codes.
